Dear John,

We spend a lot of time tracking data in the service of elections and when it comes to the other aspects of our work, it’s hard to resist keeping track there as well. Here’s a snapshot of the stats that have shaped 2020 for us:

-Tracked that 70% of registered voters live in jurisdictions using hand marked paper ballots for most voters in Election Day polling places
-Assisted in 5 statewide post-election audits and audit pilots and influenced future audit decisions in 4 more states
-Onboarded 4 new team members via Zoom due to the pandemic
-Provided the tech and security “geek” support to the Election Protection Hotline which heard from nearly 200,000 voters this year
-Found that 78.5% of registered voters live in jurisdictions that used electronic poll books in Election Day polling places
-Reached new audiences with a record 2000+ media hits
-Broadened our outreach with 1 redesigned website and 2 new social media channels
-Used 284 different Zoom backgrounds on our team calls since quarantine began
-Created over 20 new voting equipment pages in our database
-Welcomed 355 new supporters out of a total 580 donors to date (we love you all!)
-Wrote 8 grant reports, 3 quarterly newsletters, and over 60 emails to our supporters (including this one!)
-Reached 75% of our fundraising goal to-date* - just $96,000 left!
-Sent more than 100 shout outs on our Slack channel congratulating our team on efforts to make our elections more secure
