Dear Friend 

This has been a different kind of holiday season, and a different kind of year. We all have had to adapt. We all have had to be innovative and resilient to ensure that our work … our lives … our missions still had space to grow in this new normal.  Our expectations of ourselves and others have shifted, and we have adjusted. 

As we look back on this year and towards 2021, we do so with the people of North Carolina in mind, especially those we have lost, and those who have lost so much and are still struggling to survive. Our work at Action NC has been impacted by all that has happened this year, but like you, we have adapted and are moving forward with a deep commitment to our mission and our work. We want to share with you some of the work we are planning for 2021. If it resonates with you, we ask that you support our mission by supporting our organizing work. 

Forward 2021

We will continue to take action on Medicaid expansion, lower prescription drug prices, and winning quality, affordable healthcare for all. 

We will continue to take action to create policies and programs that amplify the power of Black and Brown women in North Carolina.

We will continue to take action for reform in public and community safety, and our criminal justice system.

We will continue to take action with communities to stop eviction during the pandemic and advocate for fair, affordable, healthy housing for all.

We will continue to take action for comprehensive immigration reform.

We will continue to take action to ensure that senior citizens have a place of honor in our public discourse and can enjoy the dignity and respect they deserve.

We will continue to take action this year… we know you will as well. We look forward to achieving these goals together with you. Please help us expand our work for racial, gender and economic equity with a donation. And thanks for all you have this year yourselves. We hope that you and your families remain safe and well.
