Dear Friend, The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is a vast and wild landscape, home to polar bears, caribou and over 200 species of birds.1 Time slows down on this hauntingly beautiful land, and yet the Trump administration is racing the clock to jam through oil and gas leases. We can't let this place be opened to drilling. That's why we've set a goal of raising $200,000 by midnight on Dec. 31 to help defend the Arctic Refuge and to fuel all of our work in 2021. Donate to help us save this exceptional place. The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is the migratory location for birds from all 50 states and six continents.2 Not only would drilling destroy the landscape and risk a spill, but it would also disturb animals' natural behaviors, like birds' migratory patterns. We've been working to stop the sale of oil and gas leases in the refuge -- we're taking the Trump administration to court, we helped convince Bank of America not to finance drilling in the Arctic, and our national network submitted more than 30,000 public comments opposing drilling here. But this work takes resources, and we need your help. This place is too special and too sacred to destroy for a little more oil and gas. Will you donate today to help us protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge? Thank you for your support, Hannah Collazo Your donation will be used to support all of our campaigns to protect the environment, from saving the bees and protecting public lands, to standing up for clean water and fighting climate change. None of our work would be possible without supporters like you. Environment Colorado may transfer up to $50 per dues-paying member per year into the Environment Colorado Small Donor Committee. |
