John,

The NRA lost big in 2020.

Not only did its big bet on re-electing Donald Trump fail, but this year,
the NRA's influence across the country waned. And it was revealed that its
revenue had plummeted while its legal fees skyrocketed. If there's one
thing that we have learned about the NRA this year, it's that when it is
backed into a corner like it is right now, it resorts to even more
desperate and dangerous tactics.

In 2020, NRA leaders peddled dangerous conspiracy theories about COVID-19
to encourage more gun sales. In fact, a report conducted by the Everytown
Support Fund found that the NRA has been instrumental in spreading
far-right messaging; fanning the flames of anger, racism, and fear; and
advocating for lax gun laws that enable violent extremists to arm
themselves.

John, the NRA will stop at nothing to oppose President Biden's
actions to end gun violence and we need to be ready to stand up to them.
[ [link removed] ]Your support right now is absolutely critical to ensure that we have
the resources we need to support the strongest gun safety administration
in history, and do everything we can to promote gun safety around the
country in 2021. And if you donate before the end of the year, your gift
to the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund will be TRIPLED up to a total
match of $300,000.

[ [link removed] ]Help us make 2021 a breakthrough year for gun safety. Triple your impact
today.

For decades, the NRA has used its power and influence to stop gun safety
reform, even after some of the worst mass shootings in American history
and even as gun violence kills over 100 people every single day and wounds
so many more. But with the NRA losing big in 2020, we have the best
opportunity in a generation to make next year a breakthrough year for gun
safety.

We have our work cut out for us in 2021: surging gun sales have
overwhelmed our background check system and gun violence has increased
this year. [ [link removed] ]It's up to you to make sure that we have the resources
necessary to defeat the NRA's "guns everywhere" agenda in 2021 and beyond.
Donate now through December 31st to TRIPLE your impact on our work to end
gun violence.

Thank you for your support,

Rob Wilcox
Deputy Director of Policy and Strategy
