Friends, we need your help in two special elections taking place on January 5 -- and no, we’re not talking about the ones in Georgia.

Just after the new year starts, Virginians will vote in two Virginia General Assembly races. Both of these seats are currently held by Democrats, and we need to keep it that way. We’ve set a goal of raising $5,000 by the end of the year to help win these races, and we’re more than halfway there. Will you chip in today to help us close the gap?

Here’s the thing -- Republicans are still angry that they lost control of the Virginia General Assembly for the first time in two decades. And now that Republicans have lost the White House, too, they’ll do whatever it takes to win big in Virginia next year.

Turnout is lower in special elections, so weird things can happen -- last time, the GOP came within just 17 votes of winning a Democratic seat! If they catch us off-guard and flip one of our seats back to the GOP, it could spell trouble for the statewide elections coming up in November 2021.

We’ve worked too hard to flip our Commonwealth blue to let Republicans roll back our progress. But Virginia won’t stay blue on its own -- we have to fight to make it happen. Can we count on you to step up and do your part to ensure both of these General Assembly seats stay in Democratic control?
