Ready for the fight Hello John, We are excited to share with you the final Personally Speaking blog in our 12-part series of staff stories. This week’s blog is from our director of development, Renee Smith. In her blog, Renee recounts that as a member of an Assertive Community Treatment team, she witnessed firsthand how the mental health care system was not designed to help those most in need. That inspired her to pursue a career in fundraising, where she works to ensure that the Treatment Advocacy Center has the resources needed to continue fighting to fix the broken mental health care system. For Renee, her work is personal. As she writes in her blog, “At the Treatment Advocacy Center, I am able to view our fundraising efforts through the lens of my personal experiences in mental health work, and I believe that makes me a more effective ambassador for our work.” We know that for you, this work is personal, too. As 2020 comes to an end, we ask that you make a donation to the Treatment Advocacy Center to ensure that we can continue advocating for those with severe mental illness in 2021—and beyond. Thank you for your support. DONATE Treatment Advocacy Center | Website Treatment Advocacy Center | 200 N Glebe Rd, Ste 801, Arlington, VA 22203 Unsubscribe
