Dear John,
Decade ago, my family immigrated to Florida from Iran in search of the American dream. And from day one, my parents did everything possible to make ends meet and ensure my siblings and I had the opportunities they were not afforded in Iran. Ultimately, It was my parents' hard work that inspired me to pursue a path of public service.
In 2018, I ran for the Florida legislature and became the first Iranian-American elected to any public office in Florida. This past November, I'm proud to have been re-elected in a landslide victory and to have been joined by a record number of Iranian Americans who ran for office and won!
But these victories couldn't have been possible without an amazing team, including all of you who have given to and volunteered with NIAC Action. [[link removed]]
Just as I've dedicated my life to improve the lives of Florida's most marginalized communities, NIAC Action has dedicated itself to lifting up the Iranian-American community. Our community has endured four difficult years under the Trump administration that has brought us to the brink of war and separated us from our families.
Still no matter how big the challenge, NIAC Action was there to champion our community. And just as NIAC Action has supported my foray onto the political stage, today I ask you to support NIAC Action. [[link removed]]
