Friend – I just heard that we are falling dangerously short of what we need to raise before the end of the month. I hope you'll allow me a moment to explain why hitting this fundraising goal – the most important yet in our campaign by far – is essential to winning this runoff election. 

Right now we are at a massive disadvantage, and please believe me when I say: I'm in the fight of my life. Not only has my opponent, unelected Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R), spent $23 million of her own personal fortune, she's currently reserved over $40 MILLION in attack ads against me. Even worse, she's aided by $100 million in Republican spending. (Yes, you read that right: 1-0-0 MILLION.)

I'm not taking a cent of corporate PAC money, and I sure don't have a treasure trove of stock to sell and sink into my campaign. I've got this grassroots team – and I need to be completely upfront with you: Hitting this goal is the only way we will win. And if we lose, we'll throw away Democrats' only chance to take back the Senate. 

So point blank, friend, I'm asking you to make a contribution, here and now, toward the most important goal of our runoff election. With polls showing our race in a dead heat, your support couldn't be more urgent: Will you rush a donation of $5 or more now – whatever you can spare before our end-of-quarter deadline – to flip Georgia blue and put an end to Mitch McConnell's extremist Senate majority?
