In a year marked by a pandemic that has highlighted social and economic vulnerabilities and inequalities far greater than we could have imagined, we have never seen community resilience for social and environmental justice quite this strong. Time and time again, communities have come together to stand up for what matters. For racial justice and equality no matter the colour of your skin. For our planet and safe futures for every generation. For the government to recognise the severity of this pandemic to making sure that we take care of each other. |

It’s humbling that the most significant catalyst for change has come directly from communities and people banding together in the face of injustice. It has come from you. We know that the climate and social emergency can only be tackled effectively if we lift up everyone, empower every community and work together with people across political boundaries to protect the planet we share. |
|
Better is possible, both now and in the future, when we think differently, act differently and start creating legislation that delivers Green policies. It is essential that we collaborate with others to protect what we care about most, both people and planet.

When we say that the Green Party’s voice has never been more important, we mean it. In 2021, we are contesting the largest number of elections at one time. That matters, because electing Greens will make sure that we build resilient communities, health care and food systems. To make sure that we don’t have to choose between keeping our houses warm and feeding our families. To make sure that there is a roof over every head, and a social security system that lifts every single one of us up. To make sure that racial justice is at the forefront of every agenda. |

But, the strength of our movement comes from all of our members, friends, supporters, campaigners and activists standing up for what they believe in. Greens on the doorstep are people that make the world greener and fairer every day. Greens in Councils mean more inclusive communities. A Green in the House of Lords is a force of power changing the system from the inside out. A Green in Parliament is a trustworthy voice that holds the Government to account. A Green in the room changes everything.
In 2021, we have an opportunity to get more Green councillors on more councils up and down the country. But we need your help to achieve this. |
