[[link removed]]Dear John,
It's no secret that factory farms are home to immense suffering, but did you
know they can also be breeding grounds for pandemic threats and drug-resistant
superbugs?
How? Just take a look at what our investigators caught on hidden camera.
This recently released footage exposes one of the worldʹs largest meat
producers, JBS, and the agony animals endure at Brazilian slaughterhouses and
factory farms.
What investigators witnessed was appalling.
Mother pigs were confined to small crates on cold concrete floors. With no
choice but to lie in their own feces, these naturally clean animals suffered in
filth and often became ill.
Factory farms routinely give pigs antibiotics to help them survive such horrific
conditions.
But when antibiotics are overused , bacteria can become resistant and bring disastrous consequences .

Due to filth and overcrowding, pigs at factory farms often develop respiratory
illnesses. In Brazil, dead pigs showed signs of pneumonia and other diseases.
Caged and sick, they suffered until the end.
After years of negotiations and discussions with Mercy For Animals and other
groups, GPA, one of Brazilʹs largest retailers, recently committed to ending its
horrific confinement of mother pigs.
We believe in a future where no animal ever suffers in our food system, but we
need your help to make this a reality.
