As GOC has said many times before, there are an awful lot of elected officials who are a few fries short of a happy meal, and we are always willing to share their brilliant observations. The first comes courtesy of California’s own Assemblywoman Bauer-Kahan, a Democrat who represents the Bay area: “You can’t get the semiautomatic ammunition here in California,” she said when protesting “gun violence.” When asked to explain what she meant, she replied “The large magazines.” Remember – she is sitting in a seat of power and is making policies that impact every one of us.
And then there’s this gem from Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX): “I held an AR-15 in my hand, I wish I hadn’t. It is as heavy as 10 boxes that you might be moving. And the bullet that is utilized, a .50 caliber, these kinds of bullets need to be licensed and do not need to be on the street.”
