Dear Friend,
Thank you for supporting U.S. PIRG -- you're part of a community of tens of thousands of people who believe in protecting the public interest.
The health and well-being of our communities face a host of challenges, many of which will be hard to solve. But I know that with supporters like you working with us, we can face these challenges head-on.
I'd like to invite you to take a short 5-question priorities survey so that we can get to know you better. Will you take a few moments to fill out the survey?

The problems we work on affect millions of people, and we're often up against powerful interests. That's why U.S. PIRG and our national network work together on investigative research, media exposés, grassroots organizing, advocacy and litigation to stand up for consumers.
Here are the just a few of the campaigns we're working on right now to protect public health and our well-being:
* Banning Roundup and other toxic chemicals being used in our communities and found in the products we use at home every day. 26 million pounds of Monsanto's Roundup are sprayed on public parks, playgrounds, schools and gardens in the U.S. every year. We're asking state and local governments to stop using a pesticide that is linked to serious health hazards, including cancer.
* Reducing plastic waste that's ending up on our beaches and in our oceans and waterways. State by state, city by city, we're helping to pass bans on single-use plastics such as polystyrene foam cups and food containers and plastic grocery bags. Our goal is to pass bans on polystyrene foam containers and cups in 25 cities.
* Persuading state governments and large national restaurant chains and food distributors to stop the overuse of antibiotics to grow our food. Routine use of antibiotics, especially on factory farms, is breeding antibiotic-resistant illnesses that are killing tens of thousands of people, and sicken millions more every year. We've already helped California and Maryland pass bans on the routine use of antibiotics on farms, and we're working on bans in seven more states.
Will you tell us a little more about yourself? Your opinion matters to us and we'll read every response that's submitted.

No matter why you support U.S. PIRG, I am incredibly grateful.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Faye Park
President
