Today, Kristen is a brilliant college student and community leader.

Most people from Kristen’s past would never believe it — because in her earlier days, Kirsten’s life was one of trauma.

Today, Kristen is pursuing a degree in criminal justice and works at the Coalition for Juvenile Justice (CJJ) as the Administrative and Youth Partnership Assistant. Her long-term goal is to become an attorney and work on juvenile justice reform. Kristen plans on focusing her career walking alongside and advocating for young people who have been incarcerated, experienced various forms of trauma, or have entered different systems of care.

Thanks to the generosity of people like you, Kristen is closer than ever to her goal because of the Live Your Dream Awards.

But this story doesn’t end with one woman’s success. After reading Kristen’s heartfelt words, I can tell you—Kristen would want you to help other women and girls like the ones she’s devoted her life to serving.
