Dear John,

This year we’ve seen that it is possible to act decisively to protect Tibetans’
human rights, culture and identity and the unique environment of the Tibetan
plateau from the Chinese government’s misguided policies.

We’ve put together a priority agenda of major legislation, advocacy and
education to stop these abuses in their tracks. But it will only succeed
with widespread support from our community of
compassion—dedicated members like you.

Because this agenda is so critical, Richard Gere and friends are matching all
gifts—up to $250,000—made by December 31st. Will you make your best gift now so
your contribution can be doubled and work twice as hard for Tibet?

As a member of ICT, you will help further the following priorities when you make
a year-end donation that will be matched for 2x the impact:

* With Tibetan Buddhism under attack by Chinese authorities,
your gift will help press for full enforcement of the recently passed
Tibetan Policy and Support Act—a landmark achievement for our movement

—to protect Tibetans’ right to name the next Dalai Lama and practice their
religion without interference.
* You help craft groundbreaking legislation to protect Tibet’s unique
environment from the threat of climate change, including its river system
which more than 2 billion people across Asia depend on for survival, calling
on the US to engage in greater international cooperation.
* You made sure US political candidates included and addressed Tibetan issues
during election campaigns this year. Your gift today will help keep Tibet
on the radar of lawmakers and educate
members of Congress

so they can act decisively to support Tibetan rights.
* The consistent advocacy of ICT members helped secure the appointment of a US
Special Coordinator for Tibetan Issues at the State Department, reinforcing
America’s support for the Tibetan people. Your donation will help us advocate
for a new Special Coordinator in the
next administration

who will vigorously promote policy that protects Tibet’s distinct identity.
* Strong advocacy starts with the truth. Your gift will help fund powerful reports

that reveal the facts about the persecution of Tibetans, the pillaging of
Tibet’s environment and more.

If you agree with this priority agenda, please send your most generous year-end gift now.

The coming months will require much action and perseverance for Tibet,
John. In the final days of 2020, don’t miss the chance
to make 2x the difference. Your year-end gift will be doubled through the Flame of Hope Matching Gift
Challenge

… and the people of Tibet are counting on you.

Sincerely,

Matteo Mecacci
President

P.S. Don’t delay in making your year-end gift to support ICT’s priority agenda. The
matching gift offer from Richard Gere and friends expires in just 4 short days,
and the people of Tibet are counting on you to help secure every dollar of the
$250K Flame of Hope match.
