Strong women get the job done, friend. I know that now as Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus for Women's Issues, and I knew it back in 2001 when I became the first woman and first African American mayor of Southfield, Michigan.
That's why I'm so proud to see the growing slate of Democratic women who are stepping up to run for office -- from City Council to Congress. I can hardly wait to see what other incredible woman candidates join the ticket in 2022 alongside myself, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Attorney General Dana Nessel, and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.
The bottom line: Democrats are preparing now to win in 2022. The Michigan Democratic Party is working hard each and every day to recruit and train Democrats up and down the ballot -- but they can't do any of this critical work without you.
Will you donate $10 or more to the Michigan Democratic Party (MDP) before their final FEC deadline of the year to provide Democrats with the critical infrastructure and resources they'll use to win big in 2021 and 2022?

We've had three straight years of Democratic electoral success: 2018 (when we built the Blue Wave and flipped the state executive branch), 2019 (when we learned just how much of an impact our movement can have), and 2020 (when we elected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.)
So in 2021, the MDP is putting it all on the line to elect progressive leaders up and down the ballot. As we inch closer and closer to 2021, friend. I hope you're just as excited to get involved in electing Democrats nationwide, which is why I wanted to ask:
