John,

As I sat down to write this email to you all, I found it hard to start
it like those in year's past. 2020 has been a year unlike any
other. We have collectively faced challenges like the COVID health
crisis, the continued fight against racial injustice, and
unprecedented unemployment and housing insecurity.

On top of all of that, we saw more transgender people killed in
violent attacks than in any other year since we started tracking these
types of deaths, continued attacks from the Donald Trump
Administration, and threats from state lawmakers to roll back our
rights. It's been exhausting. But, it has also been incredibly
motivating. And we couldn't have done it without you.

Will you help us start 2021 stronger by making a donation today?

That motivation has also helped us achieve some major wins. Wins like
the Supreme Court decision affirming that employers cannot
discriminate against employees on the basis of their gender identity.
Wins like the passage of the Virginia Values Act which contains some
of the most comprehensive anti-discrimination laws in the country.
These wins were products of our team's hard work, and your
dedication to making equality a reality for trans people. Your
generosity fuels our work every day, and we need you to help once
more.

Please make your end of year gift today to help us continue our
transformative work.

If this year has taught us anything, it's that we all need to
stick together when things are rough. Now, more than ever, we must
come together to fight for trans equality. If we do, we know 2021 will
be a year of countless wins to build upon for generations.

Sincerely,
