So we wanted to reach out and tell you why that goal is important and why we need to get back on track.
Here’s a preview: the Green New Deal, ending our forever wars, Medicare for All, a living wage, and college debt forgiveness might all be within reach. If you want to help us achieve those goals, please give $3 as soon as you can.
In just a few weeks, we’ll have a new Congress and a new President. That will give us a huge opportunity to achieve ambitious progressive change -- the kind of opportunity we haven’t had in years.
But we know that we’re going to face a lot of opposition. Republicans are going to stand in the way of any progress we want to make, especially if they keep control of the Senate.
We also know that we’re going to have to work to win over conservative Democrats to support these priorities as well.
The only way we’ll do that is by building and mobilizing a national progressive movement. The more people we have pressuring their lawmakers to embrace our agenda, the more likely we are to see priorities like the Green New Deal, ending our forever wars, Medicare for All, a living wage, and college debt forgiveness become reality.
Our finance team has projected that we need $25,000 this month to fuel those organizing efforts. If we fall short, we might not have the clout to put these important priorities on the agenda.
