Dear John

David Axelrod, political analyst and former advisor to President Obama, had some
high praise recently for American Rivers and our partners. Following our
November win on two ballot measures in Colorado, he said:

“The sponsors of those initiatives put together unusual coalitions of farmers
and environmentalists and chambers of commerce, and so on, and in that sense,
it’s a blueprint of winning coalitions in the future.“

At American Rivers, we’re all about building winning coalitions -- it’s why
we’re effective.

Will you support our vital work

In every region of the country, with any issue -- whether it’s ensuring clean
water for farms and cities, removing outdated dams, or protecting a healthy
river as Wild and Scenic -- American Rivers is successful because we focus on
the values that connect us, rather than the differences that divide.

Supporters like you are a critical part of our winning coalitions for rivers,
and we need you even more as we head into the new year. In December all gifts up to $150,000 will be matched. Donate today and help us use our winning blueprint for rivers nationwide.
