John,

The Founding Fathers had a vision of a government that was of the people, by the people, and for the people -- but for too many, that didn't apply to them. So my work in Congress has been focused on making that vision a reality for all, not just the privileged, the wealthy, and the few.

The COVID-19 crisis showed us what we already knew: too often the systems in place leave working people and communities behind. But this crisis also gave us an opportunity we can't miss: the chance to rebuild our nation, from the ground up. To Build Back Better.

The road hasn't been easy. But together, we've made some incredible progress. We held a corrupt administration accountable, we fought back against racist voter suppression, we used our collective voices to demand justice and accountability, and we leaned on each other in some of the darkest times our nation has ever seen.

We need to mount a renewed effort in the fight for social and economic justice, one that is people-powered. And one of the most powerful ways to do that is to make sure that our movement has the resources to fight back, no matter what.

Our campaign is going up against the biggest fundraising deadline of the year, and I'm once again asking you to stand by me. Can I count on you to join me in the trenches, John? Chip in before the end-of-year deadline so we can start 2021 strong.

I am in this for you -- for your family and your community. I promise to work harder than ever to not only heal our nation, but also expand equal opportunity to every corner of this city and our country.

Thank you, for everything,

Dwight
