Ro Khanna is the progressive leader we need in Congress right now. He’s been fighting for $2,000 monthly checks for every adult who earns less than $130,000 since April and introduced that legislation with Rep. Tim Ryan.
Ro is working towards transformative solutions that match the scale of the crises we face. In an op-ed in The Washington Post, Holly Helaine Olen wrote:
"he openly begged his party to accept a $1.8 billion stimulus deal negotiated with the White House. Instead, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) deemed it “insufficient,” appearing convinced she would have a better hand to negotiate with after the election."
Ro was willing to go against the establishment in order to push for what was best for the working people of our country. And we need to have his back to make sure he can keep legislating and advocating for bold policies that will truly help the people, not corporations.
Ro isn’t in Congress to play party politics. He’s dedicated to working for policies like Medicare for All, ending our forever wars, a Green New Deal, and substantive COVID-19 economic relief. And he works across the aisle when possible to make real change and pass meaningful legislation.
