Dear John,

There's so much to despair about in the news these days, but there are
also so many people who never fail to give me hope and strength:

* Our kids, who bring a smile to my face with every song they sing
and every picture they paint
* Our doctors and nurses, who go above and beyond to provide
exceptional care
* Our researchers, who bring innovations from the lab to the
bedside

And, of course, people like you-our incredible supporters.

John, in the best of times, you are the
heart and soul of our work. And when times are hard-in the midst
of a pandemic, in the face of unprecedented need-your support
means even more.

In such a trying year, this community has been a bright light in the
lives of our patients and families, showing up for them again and
again. With your support, just last year we:

* Saw patients at over 600,000 visits
* Performed 17,283 surgeries
* Participated in 451 clinical trials

And we changed countless lives for the better.

As 2020 comes to a close, I'm reminded once more what an incredible
force for good we are together-and what it means to be able to
create hope and build healthier futures.

Thank you for all you do to help us give the very best care to all the
little ones who come through our doors, today and in the year to come.

Warmest regards,

Paul S. Viviano
President and Chief Executive Officer
Children's Hospital Los Angeles

P.S. If you'd like to continue your support, I encourage you to make a
gift to the Children's Fund today while every gift will be matched to
double the impact for sick and injured kids.
