Africa & Europe
- Pray for our new staff starting work in Romania. The team launched a new grant project last month, and these new staff will help with training and supporting government partners in their response to human trafficking in and from Romania to other countries in Europe. Pray for them to quickly learn their roles so that they can contribute to helping survivors gain confidence in participating in the public justice system process, and that they will ultimately protect many from ever being exploited through trafficking.
Latin America
- Ask God to continue to renew IJM El Salvador's team strength. Despite the challenges of COVID-19 this year, our team has persevered and continues to bring multiple stakeholders together to improve the capacity of the public justice system to provide the best care for victims and survivors of violence. Pray that God will renew their strength and hope so they can push forward more change in 2021!
South Asia
- Pray for rest and comfort for IJM's staff in South Asia, who (like all of us) have had a busy and stressful year. In 2020, they helped protect and serve thousands of migrant laborers, families in slavery and children who experienced sex trafficking. This often required working long hours to help the government meet urgent needs. Pray they would have sweet time with their families over the holiday season and could come back in 2021 refreshed and ready to seek justice.
Southeast Asia
- Please pray that God would give strength and confidence to survivors of labor trafficking in Thailand during the victim identification and legal processes. Pray for God to continue to provide for and protect them and their families. Pray specifically for five survivors who were able to receive employment in construction jobs.
