Coffee shop fires transgender employee for throwing out conservative customer

A transgender coffee shop employee in Lincoln, Nebraska, was fired for telling a customer never to come back because she supported conservatives.

“I went into [Cultiva Espresso & Crepes] for breakfast like I do once a week,” Marilyn Synek, 23, described the incident to the Washington Examiner on Thursday. “An employee approached me, called me by name, and started yelling profanities at me. [The employee] asked me to leave and informed me that if I tried to come back, I would be denied service because of my ‘bigoted’ views.” ** Read more. ([link removed])

Students stage a walk out at North Buncombe High School, protesting boys entering girls bathrooms

Girls don’t feel safe with boys entering female bathrooms at North Carolina school

WLOS is reporting that girls at an Asheville, N.C. school do not feel safe because boys are entering female bathrooms, causing students to walk out in protest yesterday.

In 2017, the Board of Education adopted new ** Gender Support Guidelines ([link removed])
, written to protect students from “harassment, intimidation, and/or bullying,” which allows students to use the bathrooms of their preferred gender.

“I don’t feel safe going to school at all,” North Buncombe HS Junior Sylvia Gardner told ** WLOS ([link removed])

News flash! Women can now flash their breasts in six states

Fort Collins in Colorado is stirring up national controversy after its decision on Friday to abandon its defense of a 2107 city ordinance banning women from going topless in public, which the city felt was needed to protect children.

News outlets say that the decision will now allow girls over the age of 10 to bare their breasts in 6 states – Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Kansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

As expected, public comments have ranged from disgust, to support, to fear to what does it matter?

The brouhaha stems from a lawsuit filed by “Free the Nipple” movement activists, Brit Hoagland and Samantha Six, who sought to overturn a city ordinance forbidding them to expose their breasts in public.

They were fighting for “gender equality,” they said, and found it objectionable that men could go topless, but not women. ** Read more. ([link removed])
Military troops ride in a vehicle in central Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, where Christians have been told they have 3 days to convert or flee

Islamist extremists order Christian villagers to flee or convert

Christians living in northern Burkina Faso have had to leave their villages or convert to Islam following violent ultimatums by Islamist extremists.

An unnamed source told Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need that almost 2,000 villagers had fled Rounga and Hitté after attacks early this September.

Speaking about the Hitté attack the source clarified that 16 men arrived in the village and intercepted the villagers returning from their fields.

“Some of the men forced the people to enter the church where they threatened the Christians and ordered them to leave their homes in the next three days, while others set fire to whatever they found in their path. Now Hitté is empty of any Christians and any catechumens,” the source ** said ([link removed])
