John,
As we near the close of a year that has forever changed our state, nation, and world, Lt. Gov. Sanford, First Lady Kathryn and I offer our holiday greetings to you and your families and share with you our sincere gratitude for your support and friendship.
We are grateful every day to serve you.
This year has certainly tested the resilience of our state and its people. Though North Dakotans are not only good at weathering storms, we're also good at digging out afterward.
By working together, we will emerge stronger than ever.
This holiday season, we give thanks for all the blessings that we have. We give thanks to those who are working to save lives all across our state.
Our world has faced hardship in 2020, though through it all, North Dakotan’s have time and again offered inspiration, innovation, and hope. Neighbors and communities have come together to support one another like never before – and for that we are grateful.
We send our best wishes to you and your loved ones for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
With Gratitude,
Governor Doug Burgum
