Hi,

As 2020 comes to a close, I find myself grateful. Grateful for all the essential workers who have kept the world turning, for the millions working to improve our world, for you. I know that this year has made many of us despair, but at times when I felt the weight of the world around me, I would look around and see millions of people working to make the world a better place. Thank you for being one of those people.

You give me hope for the future of the planet and all its complex issues. Thanks to you, and millions of other like-minded people, we are witnessing a surge in environmental action and discussion across the globe. Despite the terrible toll of this year, we have seen the environmental movement grow. We have leaders who believe in the science of climate change, we have a grassroots movement that seeks to educate and inspire and we have individuals like yourself who do whatever they can in their daily lives to make the planet better.

I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and feel some peace this unusual holiday season. I look to 2021 with hope, thanks to you.
