This holiday season is different from usual, but everywhere I look, I see love, hope, and kindness winning out. Lighting a kinara, decorating a tree, celebrating the Festival of Lights, spending time with loved ones -- our diverse holiday traditions are bringing warmth and light to this season, just like they always do.

However you're celebrating, I'm holding you and your family in my thoughts -- and I'm thankful for all you do to strengthen our Texas Democratic community.

One of my biggest takeaways from 2020 is the incredible resilience and solidarity of this group. Through the many curveballs and tough moments, you stayed focused on what matters: taking care of our communities, and fighting for a better Texas for working families.

Over the course of this year -- and faced with unprecedented obstacles -- you grew this movement in ways we had only dreamed of. And it's because of you that I feel more hopeful than ever about our future.

We have plenty of work to do in the months to come. We will keep fighting for a fair shot for all, advocating for working Texans, and building the future we know is possible. I know beyond a doubt that we will rise to the challenge, because as Texas Democrats, that's just who we are.

I hope you'll take some time this holiday season to celebrate everything we've accomplished, and the important role you played in it. Our future is bright -- and Texas is stronger -- because of you.
