Dear John,
There is truly so much to mourn this holiday season – all of the families who cannot be together, all of the seats now left permanently empty, and all of the hardships so many are facing. What hope we have is the hope we create when we act together.
We mourn and we fight. The COVID-19 & Poverty Memorial Wall is a collective place to mourn and remember our friends, family members, and community members who have been lost due to the COVID-19 pandemic and poverty. We welcome all to submit their memorials.
A few weeks ago our partners at the Border Network for Human Rights led a 100-car caravan along the border to launch their 2021 Immigration Reform Campaign and to implore the new administration to ‘welcome the stranger,’ by generating real pathways to citizenship for the millions of undocumented immigrants in this country and ceasing the war on the poor at our border.
