Dear John,
While this Christmas Day will be different, with restrictions preventing many families and friends from being together, I hope you’re able to enjoy a great Christmas Day.
After a tough year for everyone; particularly so for some in our community, it’s right to take a moment to celebrate the best of the past year.
If ever a year has reminded us not to take those who work in our GP surgeries and hospitals for granted, it’s certainly been this one. Nurses, doctors, senior staff and all those supporting them deserve our recognition,
our thanks (and more) once again.
Scientists who have helped to develop vaccines, teachers who’ve done a remarkable job keeping children learning in the toughest of settings, and all our other key workers deserve our gratitude and appreciation.
Those who stepped up, contributing to and working in our local charities, helping to support our most vulnerable and those who’d otherwise go hungry deserve our thanks too.
And lastly we owe a big thank you too for all those working on Christmas Day.
Whatever you’ve gone through and whatever the future holds I hope you and those you’re closest to have a very Happy Christmas Day.
Best Wishes,
Gareth Thomas MP
