But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.—Galatians 4:4-5, NIV
It’s Christmas, a time to reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ, who brings light to the world. As Christians, we believe that Jesus—Himself born, brought to trial, executed, buried, and brought to life again—offers hope, healing, and a new purpose for each life. Through an amazing awakening to new hope and life purpose, those who once broke the law are transformed and mobilized to serve their neighbors, replacing the cycle of crime with a cycle of renewal.

It’s hard to wake up every day and wonder what I’m even doing here. But for the first time, I realized I’m a missionary in here. Every morning that I get up, I’m not just doing time. I’m on a mission to show Christ’s love. I can lead. I can teach. My life has purpose, no matter where I am, because of Him. I experienced Him afresh today.”
—Katrina, Incarcerated Woman in Virginia

Every day at Prison Fellowship® is a chance to see God’s beautiful plan of salvation and restoration in process. Broken lives are made whole, families are restored, and communities are transformed. Thank you for walking with us in this ministry as we bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to incarcerated men and women.

Because of your support, people like Katrina are living fulfilled lives in Christ even behind bars this Christmas.

We wish you a very merry Christmas. God bless you.
