Tell the Air Agency Board to take a stand No Images? Click here John, Last month, hundreds of people from across Puget Sound stood up to oppose PSE’s dirty Tacoma LNG facility by packing the public hearing and calling on the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA) to deny their permit. Now it is time to take the next step. We have submitted comments. We have testified. Yet PSCAA continues to move this project forward based on deeply flawed analysis that fails to protect our climate and community safety. The PSCAA Board of Directors is made up of publicly elected officials from around Puget Sound that represent YOU. PSCAA is on the brink of a dangerous, precedent-setting decision, and it’s time for our representatives to daylight the threat, address it head on, and right this failed process. Tell YOUR representative: We can’t build a clean energy future by investing in dirty energy. PSCAA is taking a leadership role in addressing toxic air pollution through work like a regional Clean Fuel Standard that would move our region toward cleaner fuels, healthier air, and greater consumer choice. While we take these critical strides forward, we cannot at the same time undermine our progress by locking ourselves into decades more use of fossil fuel through new terminals like Tacoma LNG. PSE’s LNG proposal is in direct conflict with PSCAA’s mission to protect our climate and clean air. The urgency of climate action demands the highest level of scrutiny and action from the Board of Directors to ensure comprehensive evaluation of PSE’s LNG proposal and protect our climate, health, and safety. Your representative needs to hear from you. Tell your PSCAA Member: We can’t build a clean energy future by investing in dirty energy. Thank you for all you do, Anna Doty |
