My husband Jason has fought for what is right his entire life.

Growing up, Jason was never handed anything. He worked his way through college doing construction; at the end of the day, he'd take his boots off and then go to class. After the horrific 9/11 attacks, he didn't sit back -- he went where the fight was to protect our country and served three combat tours.

When he saw injustices happening in our community and nothing changing at the federal level, he ran for Congress to make life better for everyone -- no matter who they were or where they came from. Jason has always lived to serve others. It's why I love him, why I'm so proud of him, and why he's a great representative.

It wasn't an easy decision for Jason to run for Congress -- and I knew that it wouldn't always be easy for our family to have him working so far from Colorado. But in the first several months, Jason has already introduced bills to help small businesses, conserve energy and protect our environment, and secure our elections against foreign adversaries.

After seeing all the good Jason has already done for our community since being sworn in, I couldn't be happier with the choice our family made.

Even after spending so much time in the halls of Congress, Jason's commitment to our community powers his fight at the federal level.
