Today, give to people directly, if you can.

Justice Democrats

John, the new COVID relief bill fell way short of what the people needed. And, like the first one, it excluded so many people.

A $600 relief check will not stop the eviction and hunger crises people are facing during this historic pandemic. Other so-called relief is still less than was given out in March and is filled with even greater bureaucratic hurdles. Undocumented folks are completely left out of the relief checks, again.

As we approach the new year, we’re hoping you can chip in to two COVID relief funds sending money directly to people in need. It will take all of us to get through this pandemic together while Congress fails us.

If you can afford it, please split a contribution today between Make the Road’s COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund and Restaurant Workers' Community Foundation’s COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund to get help to people who are struggling during the pandemic.

Make the Road’s relief fund provides direct support to our most vulnerable workers and low-income immigrant families, and to organize to ensure they are not left out of government solutions. The Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation’s relief fund gets money to individual restaurant workers in need and non-profit organizations supporting workers in crises.

If you can, give to these relief funds to directly support folks who need it.

We’re all doing our best to get through this pandemic and help those that are struggling. We have to do even more with the government’s lack of support.

We appreciate you. Stay strong and stay safe.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
