Dear John,
At Labour conference, the party has just decided to back a
People’s Vote in ALL circumstances.
Compared to last year this is a victory for our campaign, when
Labour was still being vague about whether it would even consider a
final say referendum with an option to stay.
The policy is far from perfect because Labour’s leadership still
won’t say which side it would be on in a referendum. But no-one really
thinks this is sustainable in the white heat of an election
campaign.
It is a matter of when, not if, Labour’s
leadership reconnects with the overwhelming majority of party members,
trade unionists and above all its voters. When you scrape away the
froth we’re winning this fight and that’s because of
all the hard work done by people like you.
The momentum is with us. We can win this, the fight of our lives.
And, on October 19, we will make our voices heard when we take to the
streets to demand a People's Vote.
