Give joy today »

John,

Can you think of a better gift than changing a refugee child's life during this challenging year?

2020 has been unforeseeably difficult for all of us. But for refugee children like Taima'a — a bright, joyful 6-year-old who loves Legos and Tom and Jerry — the pandemic is one more emergency piled onto several that are nearly impossible to endure. She and her family have been displaced for the last 7 years after fleeing the war in Syria.

You can help refugee children like Taima'a — in the photo above — and their families by adding a meaningful gift to your shopping list today. Your donation can, for example, help us provide educational toys, remote education, warm winter clothes and other support around the world.

Every parent shares a common dream for their children. They want them to be safe, healthy, happy, and have the opportunity to learn and grow.

But for so many refugees that dream has been threatened. This is certainly true for Ola, Taima'a's mom.

Ola tells us: "I'm proud of my daughter's character. She is a strong-willed girl. If she gets something in her head, she will do it."

Ola wants other refugee mothers to know that strength is key to survival and wishes that all children, including her own, have the opportunity to continue their education. "This is the most important thing in order to live a good life," she says.

John, this holiday season, you can give joy to children like Taima'a and their families. They need your support now, more than ever.

Thank you for your compassion and kindness this holiday season.

Your gift allows us to deliver comprehensive and holistic help to uprooted people and will be used where and when most needed. And, when combined with those of other donors, your gift becomes a powerful means to support our lifesaving work, including education, health care, emergency support and job training for refugee families worldwide.
