Dear Friend,
2020 has been a tough year for so many. However, you and other compassionate Project HOPE supporters have ensured that millions of people impacted by COVID-19 have protective equipment... that communities devastated by hurricanes have clean water and supplies... and that families in Yemen and over 150 other countries can access health care.
The holidays this year will no doubt be different, but I hope you can take a little comfort knowing that because of you, we are here to send HOPE to those who need it most around the world. Thank you for being such an inspiring part of the Project HOPE community!
In that spirit of inspiration, I want to introduce you to Dr. Joy Nalley, pictured above. She leads a team of nurses in Sierra Leone who give premature babies a healthier start in life. In a learning lab started by Project HOPE, Dr. Nalley teaches nurses "Kangaroo Mother Care", a simple skin-to-skin technique that helps low birthweight babies grow and thrive.
This work in Sierra Leone is just one example of how your support brings hope and healing to mothers and fathers, to children and grandparents, to families and the health workers fighting COVID‑19.
