Trump continues to try to exert his influence over the future of our country on his way out of office. According to POLITICO, he’s spending his last days appointing key GOP players and donors -- like Kellyanne Conway, Elaine Chao, and Pamella DeVos -- to national advisory boards and key administration posts.

In the last days of his administration, Trump could be encouraging safe COVID measures or trying to get economic relief to Americans who desperately need it. Instead, he’s spending his limited time left in office making sure his friends will still have jobs after he’s out -- and making sure GOP influence is deeply entrenched in our country’s institutions.

We’ve already beaten Trump. We know that no matter what he throws at us, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will take office in January. But by installing his pals in these positions, Trump is ensuring that we won’t be able to rid ourselves of the stain his presidency has left on our nation.

 

You voted in November because you knew that people like Kellyanne Conway and Donald Trump have no place in our country’s leadership. You know that our country deserves a clean slate.
