John,
While COVID-19 continues to spread, millions across the country are still struggling to keep their head above water.
Unable to work and make ends meet, some families and individuals are going without key basic necessities like shelter and food.
At a time like this, we must come together with more vigor than ever before to look out for one another and extend a helping hand to those within our community.
The Alameda County Food Bank is at the forefront of the fight to end hunger, especially during this uncharted health and economic crisis. For over 30 years, they’ve provided meals — filling the cupboards of millions — so no one in Alameda county ever has to wonder where their next meal will come from.
I’m working hard in Congress to expand COVID-19 relief in 2021 like unemployment assistance, paid sick leave, and other benefits that Americans deserve during these troubling times. But right now, community food banks could really use your help.
This holiday season, I’m urging you to be a “bridge over troubled water” and join me in supporting the Alameda County Food Bank. If you can (and only if you can) please make a donation to help those struggling during this crisis. 100% of your donation will go to those in need.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I know it is a trying time for so many of us, but if you can afford to give, your donation will go a long way to help uplift those within our community who are in dire need.
In solidarity,
Barbara Lee
