Now, after months of doing nothing Donald Trump says he is finally ready to send out $2,000 checks. Nancy Pelosi is on board too. Now we are calling on Congress to pass an amendment to put $2,000 checks back in the stimulus bill."

There’s not much that AOC and Trump can agree on. But there’s this: You deserve a $2,000 survival payment for COVID-19 relief.
But when Donald Trump threatened to veto the COVID relief bill Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi negotiated without larger relief payments, AOC said:
Democrats are ready to pass this amendment by unanimous consent in the House. Mitch has been silent. Our voices are powerful right now. Add your name to make this happen!
Throughout the pandemic, life has gotten more expensive. Delivery fees, curbside pick-up fees, and the additional steps to keep ourselves safe have come at a cost.
And, even before the pandemic, Social Security checks weren’t keeping up with rising out of pocket costs.
