Last night, the occupant of the White House announced his support for what Progressives have been fighting for literally all year. Our constituents need survival checks now and $600 is not nearly enough.
I’m joining my colleagues and grassroots organizations to demand that the U.S. House and Senate pass an amendment to send $2,000 checks to the American people. Will you add your name next to mine right now to take action and demand $2,000 survival checks?
This comes down to Mitch McConnell, who has been obstructing meaningful relief for the American people for months. It has been a cruel abdication of leadership; a lack of humanity, empathy, and patriotism.
There is support at the White House and among Democrats in Congress for $2,000 survival checks, so we have to act now to move Mitch McConnell and get the American people some much-needed relief.
