Friends,
This holiday season, I’m asking you to remember our friends, family, and neighbors in need.
As I write this,
there are over 1.3 million Georgians facing food insecurity. Over 400,000 of them are children.
Sadly, this pandemic has put so, so many people on the brink of going hungry. More Americans than ever are waiting in line at their local food bank and relying on assistance to put food on the table. But food banks are being stretched thin by the increased demand.
Going hungry is not a part of the American Dream -- and not part of anyone’s dream for their family. It’s more important than ever that we come together to lend a helping hand to folks in our communities who are suffering.
That’s why OAD is teaming up with the Georgia Food Bank Association to help feed our neighbors here in Georgia, and I’m asking personally if you will join us in supporting their efforts.
Friends, if you’re in a position to do so, can you please make a donation of any amount to the Georgia Food Bank Association to help feed hundreds of families in need?
The Georgia Food Bank Association comprises seven regional food banks in our state -- and a donation to the Association will have an impact feeding families all across Georgia.
In times as tough as these, we must remember how
important it is to practice compassion and support our fellow Americans when they need us.
This has been a hard year. But by coming together, we can get through it and keep our communities whole.
If you can, chip in to the Georgia Food Bank Association to help them continue their work when it’s needed the most.
Thank you so much for your support.
Wishing you and your family a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season,
Sarah Riggs Amico
