Friend, Stacey Abrams inspired us when she ran for governor in 2018, and she inspired us again this year as she worked tirelessly to expand the Democratic base in Georgia, in addition to expanding her fight for voting rights across the country, and contributed to that state electing a Democratic presidential candidate for the first time since 1992.
Abrams has always been committed to work that is greater than herself. After she lost the governor's race (due in large part to rampant Republican voter suppression), she said:
“I may not have become governor, but that does not absolve me of the responsibility to ensure that the voices of Americans get heard. I'm not entitled to history. And we aren't entitled to our choice of winning at the ballot box. What we are entitled to is being heard.”
What we are entitled to is being heard. The NDRC has been proud to join Stacey Abrams in the fight against Republican voter suppression in Georgia and across the country -- and we'd like your commitment to that fight through 2021 and beyond. Will you add your name to pledge your continued vigilance and action against GOP voter suppression in the next year?
Thanks,
Team NDRC
