Hillsdale launched Imprimis 48 years ago to promote limited government, free enterprise, individual rights, personal responsibility, and a strong national defense. Each issue covers a timely political, economic, or cultural issue from a constitutional perspective.

Today, with the radical Left increasing its efforts to undermine traditional patriotism and transform American government and society, Imprimis is more important than ever.

Think of what we have seen just this year: unprecedented lockdowns, lawless violence in our cities, the destruction of historical monuments, the politicizing of sports by forces who believe America is fundamentally unjust, and the fierce opposition to common-sense measures to ensure election integrity.

In response, Hillsdale College is determined to expand its national outreach efforts that reach and teach millions on behalf of liberty—including Imprimis.

Hillsdale sends you Imprimis ten times a year—and it does so free of charge.

Since Imprimis began in 1972 with a circulation of about 1,000, we have never charged for a subscription.

And as I think you know, Hillsdale is one of only a very few American colleges that refuses to accept ONE PENNY of government support—not even indirectly in the form of federal or state student grants or loans.

This principled independence frees Hillsdale from many burdensome and corrupting federal regulations—but it also means that Hillsdale is entirely dependent on the generosity of private citizens like you who understand the importance of education to liberty.

The only way Hillsdale can continue its work on behalf of liberty—including sending Imprimis to millions of households and businesses each month—is if citizens like you continue to give us your support.

While a circulation of more than 5.6 million is undoubtedly impressive—Imprimis has a greater circulation than the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times—we are determined to do more.

Our immediate goal is to increase the circulation of Imprimis to over 6 million American households and businesses.
