Your donation today will be tripled!

Dear Friend,

I think the media can be the greatest force for peace on Earth. Instead, all too often, it’s wielded as a weapon of war.

That's why we have to take the media back.

But we can't do it without your help.

Thanks to a generous supporter, your donation to Democracy Now! today will be triple matched, making it three times as valuable.

DONATE TODAY & TRIPLE YOUR IMPACT!
Your donation—before midnight tonight—will go three times as far, so don't delay! If you're still searching for a holiday gift for a friend or family member, consider donating to Democracy Now! in their honor. We'll be sure to let them know that you've chosen to think outside the big box stores and online marketplaces and have given the gift of independent media instead.

Giving the gift of Democracy Now! is easy!

1. Visit
this donate page & select an amount.

2. Check "Make this donation in honor of someone."

DONATE TODAY & TRIPLE YOUR IMPACT!
For almost 25 years, we’ve remained independent. As we head into 2021, we're counting on your continued support.

From the climate crisis to endless war, from uprisings and protests around the world to the fight for immigrant rights and racial and economic justice at home—you count on Democracy Now! to connect the dots between the issues you care about most and the movements changing America and changing the world.

Today we interviewed Dr. Cleavon Gilman, an emergency room physician who has been treating COVID-19 patients since the beginning of the outbreak, first in New York City and now in Yuma, AZ, a coronavirus hot spot. Dr. Gilman served as a medic in the Iraq War and says his wartime experience did not prepare him for what he's seen during this pandemic.
Give today and your gift will be TRIPLED!
"This pandemic is worse than being in Iraq. ... There is an unprecedented amount of death. Three thousand people dying a day. ... You can't escape this virus. It is everywhere. I can't just fly out of Iraq and be safe. It is a lot harder. It truly is," said Dr. Gilman.
If you believe that voices like Dr. Gilman's are essential for the world to hear, please donate today.

Last week we spoke to Winona LaDuke, Indigenous activist with the Ojibwe Nation and executive director of Honor the Earth, about the significance of Congressmember Deb Haaland's nomination to become secretary of the interior, which was backed by progressives, as well as more than 120 tribal leaders. If confirmed, Haaland will be the first Native American to serve in a Cabinet position.

We also talked to LaDuke about Indigenous resistance to the Enbridge Line 3 pipeline, which would carry tar sands oil from Alberta, Canada, to a terminal in Superior, Wisconsin, cutting through Indigenous territory and running under more than 200 streams.
Your donation will go 3x as far today!
“This is the end of the fossil fuel era,” LaDuke said. “The industry is ending, and there’s certainly no reason to approve a new tar sands pipeline.”
If you think the media needs to shine a spotlight on the climate crisis, please support Democracy Now! today by donating.

We also talked to Nina Turner, former Ohio state senator, about her run for Ohio’s 11th Congressional District seat, Biden’s Cabinet appointments, and the urgent need for a stimulus package to help people suffering during the coronavirus pandemic.
Donate today and your gift will be 3x as valuable!

"We’ve got to awaken the sleeping giants in this country. The American people have got to stand up strong. ... You’ve got people in the Congress, in both chambers, who are playing games with our money—that money should be given back to the American people," said Turner.

If issues like economic justice are important to you, please donate now!
