Friend,

Climate change isn’t a hoax, or a problem limited to scientists — it’s a crisis that affects every single one of us, and the only way we’re going to protect our planet is together. That’s why Tom’s new Civilian Climate Corps is so important: It will empower 100,000 community public servants each year to address the impact of climate.

At a time when Donald Trump has stripped programs like disaster relief and public service to their bare bones, it couldn’t be more important that we redirect our funds and our attention to taking care of our planet and each other. Today, add your name to support Tom’s plan. [link removed]

Launching a Civilian Climate Corps will not only put in place a real infrastructure to confront the effects of climate change — it will also employ and empower hundreds of thousands of Americans. And through an inclusive and democratic process, the Corps will focus on communities that are particularly vulnerable to climate change, have suffered the effects of environmental racism, and have historically experienced underinvestment.

When it comes to climate change, we’re the ones who must take action. Let’s get a move on — add your name to stand with Tom in this fight:

Team Tom
