People are struggling and need help. But, right now, our Congress is failing us. So, when I get sworn in in less than two weeks, I’m going to fight as hard as I can to get everyday people the relief we need.

Cori Bush for Congress

John, $600 is not enough.

We need at least $2,000 survival checks monthly for COVID relief. We need enhanced unemployment insurance. And we need to make these benefits retroactive to adequately address the hardships people have experienced during this pandemic.

That's what we need. But that's not what Congress passed. It's not even close.

People are struggling and need help. But, right now, our Congress is failing us. So, when I get sworn in in less than two weeks, I'm going to fight as hard as I can to get everyday people the relief we need.

But I'm going to need our entire movement at my back to make that relief a reality — will you give $3 (or whatever you can spare right now) to help?

When it comes to tax breaks for the rich, or bailouts for Wall Street, or the Pentagon budget, the price tag never seems to be too high.

But when it comes to basic economic relief in the middle of a deadly global pandemic and economic collapse, apparently we can't afford it?

Come on.

We can afford it. We just need to fight for it. So, for every person who's lost their job, for every person who's unhoused or facing eviction, for every person who doesn't know where their next meal is coming from, just know that I am taking our outrage to Congress.

We're less than two weeks from having a new Congress, and soon we will also have a new President. Which means we have another chance to get this right.

But we're going to have to overcome strong opposition to get more COVID relief. We'll need all hands on deck to make that happen. Will you give $3 (or whatever you can) to strengthen our movement in preparation for the battle ahead?

Our swearing in on January 3rd can't come soon enough. We're ready for this fight.

Thanks,

Cori Bush
