Dear John,

This matter is way too urgent to wait until after the holidays.

We are all sickened by what’s happening in the Netherlands. When Minister of Health, Hugo de Jonge, announced their government would change their euthanasia laws to permit child euthanasia, grieved citizens took to our platform to oppose this chilling stance.

We are now closing in on 100,000 signatures who believe in caring rather than killing those suffering from an illness.

Last week, I rushed to the Post Office to ensure that those in power in the Netherlands know precisely how we feel.

Signatures are on their way to their embassy on Linnean Ave. in Washington D.C.

This is another example of progressive “human rights” in this decade.

The government in the Netherlands fashions itself to be one of the most progressive in the world. So, progressive that they are willing to allow children to be coerced by adults into suicide.

This child euthanasia attempt lacks resolve, and we can’t be passive and wait to hear how the embassy or Jonge will respond to our signature delivery.

As I shared before, we are a few hundred signatures shy of 100,000. Please make sure to sign (if you have not) and share this with friends and family so they can act too. We will deliver new signatures later on. I will include the link to the petition below.

With more pressure, our difference will be felt across the ocean.

Sincerely,

Gregory Mertz and the entire CitizenGO Team

P.S. If you have not signed this petition yet, please do so now. It cannot wait until after the holidays. Children in the Netherlands and around the world deserve our support right now. citizengo.org/en-us/lf/183090-oppose-child-euthanasia
