We need all hands on deck.

In August, Republican leadership agreed to a bloated budget deal and, in exchange, Democratic leadership agreed not to hold up the appropriations bills that would fund the government starting on October 1.

But last week, liberals in the Senate went back on their promise and killed an important appropriations bill.

It’s no coincidence that also last week, liberals in the House passed a continuing resolution (CR) that would extend government funding for just 7 weeks instead of the full year.

We've seen this play before. Liberals will hold hostage funding for our military and the Department of Homeland Security in exchange for far-left amendments.

We need you to call your senators today and tell them to:

• Reject the House’s short-term CR which creates inefficiency and uncertainty in government spending and hinders military readiness
• Pass a clean appropriations bill that fully funds the federal government
• Reject “poison pill” policy riders that would prevent broad support

Congress promised Americans they would fund our government without introducing new, leftist policies. They can keep that promise today. They've already agreed to the top line spending figures--now they just need to show up to work, do their jobs, and pass the appropriations bills to fund our government.

It really is that simple.
