We're glad that there has been some progress from private companies to address the gun violence epidemic. But we know that this only scratches the surface.

The changes that will truly make New Mexicans safer are ones the Senate can pass. Right now, Mitch McConnell has THREE bills sitting on his desk to address mass shootings in our country, but he refuses to move them forward.

And we should clarify and expand the definition of assault weapons to get them off our streets.
