John,

You've probably heard:  in just eight hours yesterday both houses of Congress passed a 5,600 page spending bill without reading it and then went home!

But what you probably didn't hear is that House Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer, took to the floor and complained that the giant bill didn't give members of Congress a pay raise!

Please sign the national petition to demanding Congress vote on term limits.

Just think of the arrogance.

Hoyer has served in Congress for FORTY YEARS!

He and his cronies refused to do their jobs, and he's complaining they aren't paid nearly enough.

A congressman makes $174,000.00 per year!  That's nearly THREE TIMES the income of an average American family!

What happened yesterday was a disgrace.

For the last year Congress did nothing.

The politicians passed no budget.

They put off most of their work appropriating money for everything from Defense to Health and Human Services until the very last minute.

Then these careerists dumped EVERYTHING they were supposed to have completed into one monster bill, - including some emergency pandemic measures - and passed it without reading it and with virtually no debate.

And they figure they can get away with it because our political system is rigged.

Over 90% of House and Senate members get reelected each cycle no matter what.

These politicians believe they can do anything they want.

So they don't even bother to listen to you and me.

They don't take their jobs seriously.  They are lazy and arrogant.

If the professional politicians are going to act like this, the need to hold a vote on term limits next month.

They should at least be made to take a stand on an issue over 80% of Americans support.

Please sign the new national petition demanding just that.

And then please forward this email around and ask everyone you know to do the same.

Good people who work hard have lost their jobs and are really struggling.

Meanwhile Congress does nothing all year, slaps together this giant bill without reading it, complains about not being paid enough and then goes home for vacation.

We shouldn't put up with this insanity any longer.

Please sign the Vote Now On Term Limits Petition, and ask everyone you know to do the same.

Sincerely,

Phil Blumel
President
