NEWS!!!

Our dear brother Michael Thompson, after serving 26 years in prison in
Michigan FOR SELLING WEED, just had his sentence commuted and will be set
FREE!⁣

I want to thank everyone who joined us in sending 140,000 messages
advocating for Michael’s freedom. Today is a powerful reminder of what
we’re able to accomplish when we work together. ⁣But our work does not
stop here.

Right now, there are millions of people like Michael, unjustly locked
behind bars. There’s an epidemic of mass incarceration in our country as a
result of the “War on Drugs” which has really been a war on people of
color.

Real Justice District Attorneys like Chesa Boudin, Kim Foxx, and Larry
Krasner have made significant progress in recent years around
decriminalization and drug reform. From dropping existing charges for
marijuana possession, to passing policies that focus on rehabilitation
versus incarceration, these DA’s are taking proactive measures to prevent
millions of people from sharing Michael’s unjust experience and end this
racist cycle. That is why I am asking:

incarceration and systemic racism that’s put so many folks behind bars for
non-violent drug charges.

This work starts with addressing the fact that there are far too many
District Attorneys in our country who are prosecuting and putting people
behind bars for cannabis related offenses while others make huge profits.

That is an injustice that must come to an end. By electing District
Attorneys who will refuse to prosecute cannabis offenses and support
progressive drug reform initiatives, we can drastically shift our entire
criminal legal system. With your support we will continue to fight to
elect leaders like Kim Foxx, Larry Krasner, and Chesa Boudin who are
transforming the legal systems in their cities.
